Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon said there is no alternative but to upgrade the standard of education to international level to cope with the competition in the age of globalization.
“Due to insufficiency of laboratory and sconce teachers at schools, the students are losing their interest in science education,” he said this on Thursday while inaugurating the 18th Science Fair at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College here.
The minister said, “Though the education sector has made revolutionary development, we should not satisfy with only that rather we should work together to upgrade the country’s standard of education to international level.”
Menon minister hoped that the fair will increase the interest for science education among the students.
College principal Sufia Khatun and teacher of Dhaka University Prof Rafiqul Islam spoke on the occasion.
