Upazila administration and police department have conducted operations in Ishwardi, Dashuria and Pakshi Bazar to implement the lockdown announced by the government to prevent the transmission of corona virus.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate PM Imrul Kayes urged the people to maintain social distance during the campaign on Monday and Tuesday and not to leave the house unnecessarily. Police personnel including Asaduzzaman Asad, officer-in-charge of Ishwardi police station were present at the time.
The campaign was launched to create public awareness in Ishwardi Bazar and various important junctions of the city, Station Road, Dashuria and Pakshi Bazar.
During the operation, PM Imrul Kayes told reporters that the grocery store, raw market, fertilizer / pesticide shop, mobile flexi / rocket / development / cash / sure cash; The food store will be open until four in the afternoon.
However, no one will be able to sit at the food store and eat. Drug stores and other emergency services will be exempt from the ban. At the same time, instructions are being given to stop inter-upazila and inter-district movement. Strict legal action will be taken against those who disobey the instructions, he said.
