An UP member was stabbed to death by his younger brother over land dispute at Vakurta Union in Savar on Wednesday morning. After 5 days treatment he died at Ibn Sina Hospital at Dhanmondi.
Deceased Faruq Chowdhury, 35 was 2nd son of freedom fighter Md. Mohiuddin Chowdhury and 8 No Ward member of Vakurta Union Parishad.
Deceased father said, before some times of iftar on previous Friday, Javed and Faruq started arguing over land dispute.
Younger brother Javed stabbed him and fled away . Some locals sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. From there he was sent to Ibna Sina Hospital.
Mostofa Kamal, Officer-in-charge of Savar police station said, we are trying to arrest the convict. Dead body was sent to morgue for autopsy.
A case was filed in this connection.
