A Union Parishad member was killed by some miscreants at Bhuiyan Bazar in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj on Sunday night.
The victim was identified as Md. Yousuf Ali, son of late Md. Idris Ali in Hossendi Union Parishad member of Pakundia upazila.
Local people took him to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.
The body was sent to morgue for autopsy.
A murder case was filed in this connection with Pakundia Police Station.
