Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a Union Parishad (UP) member along with a pistol and two bullets from Sardarbari area on Friday night.
The arrestee was identified as Abu Taleb, a member of Ward No-3 of Kaundia union parishad.
Tipped off, a team conducted the drive at his house and arrested him with the pistol and bullets, said Sagor Dipa Biswas, superintendent of police of RAB-4.
He was handed over to Savar Model Police Station and a case was filed against him, he said.
