Police arrested Roki Biswas (30), a murder case accused of freedom fighter Mustafizur Rahman Selim at Pakshi in Ishwardi Upazila on Thursday.
He was presented to Pabna Chief Judicial Magistrate Court and five-day remand was sought .
Earlier on Thursday, the police arrested him in Ruppur BBC Market area of Pakshi Union in the upazila. Rakhi Biswas is a son of Enamul Haque Biswas, Chairman of Pakshi Union Parishad.
Police said , on the basis of secret information, police arrested Roki from his house on Thursday morning.
Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Police Station Bahauddin Faruqi BPM,PPM, said that the second accused in the case of Rakibi freedom fighter Selim murder case is the second accused. The interrogation is going on.
Pakishi Union Awami League’s former general secretary and freedom fighter Mostafizur Rahman Selim was injured in the firing by miscreants in front of his house in Ruppure on 06 February. Later, he died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
