Bangladesh Railway, East Zone has given work order for procuring 75 Traction motors to such a bidder neither lowest nor fulfilled the terms of reference of tender notice .
Local agent of Hind Rectifiers, Lucky Trading selected as lowest bidder quoting amount of Tk.12.87 cr and the second lowest was Sriya Metal who quoted Tk.14.84 cr . Sources said Sriya Metal could not fulfil three conditions of terms of reference whereas work order has been given to second lowest bidder.Seven bidders participated in the tender bid. Meanwhile lowest bidder Lucky Trading served legal notice accusing five officials of Railway East zone including Secretary of Rly Ministry and Director General of Rly for breaking the terms and conditions of the tender schedule. The legal notice was told that if the authority fails to reevaluate the tender papers, they would go for legal fights said sources of Lucky trading.
