UNO Wahida out of danger, her head stitches detached

The head stitches of Ghoraghat UNO Wahida Khanam, who was severely injured in an attack by miscreants, have been detached.
“The operation places are good. Her paralysed right hand was improved to elbow. Her health condition is gradually improving,” Dr Zahed Hossain, chief Neuro surgeon at National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital, said on Saturday.
He said UNO Wahida is being given physiotherapy on her right portion three to four times a day for more improvement.
Asked about UNO Wahida is out of danger, Zahed, also the chief of the medical board formed for the treatment of the UNO, said, “She can be called out of danger. But it may create difficulties anytime as she is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.”
She is taking solid foods. Her sense level and blood pressure are normal.
Miscreants stormed duckbunglow of Ghoraghat UNO Wahida Khanam around 3am on September 3 breaking the window grills.
After entering the house, the gang hacked and hit Wahida, 35, and her father Omar Ali, leaving them critically injured.
The UNO was airlifted to Dhaka by an air ambulance the same day.
