A team of Malaysian professors has recently visited American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) under the coordination of Prof SM Kabir, QA Specialist, QUA, UGC Bangladesh.
The visitors included Prof Dr Noor Azizi Ismail. Dean of UUM; Abdul Shakur Abdullah, Assistant Manager; Khan Sarfaraz Ali, PhD Fellow of UUM and a National Human Resource Specialist.
The proposal will mutually benefit the two universities through faculty and student exchanges; sharing of Business Case Studies highlighting the local cases; research and membership in the world network of Business Schools of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
AIUB Vice Chancellor, Dr Carmen Z Lamagna, presided over the meeting which catalyzed the interest of both sides to realize the academic undertakings mutually beneficial to the concerned parties.
The meeting suggested by the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Charles C Villanueva, to come up with a Memorandum of Understanding to guide both sides on actions to be taken.
The specifics of the proposal will be discussed by both parties in terms of contents, activities, time frame and other modalities to ensure that the objectives and directions are within the ambit of the MOU.
The Director of the BBA program, A k Nazmul, Dr Nisar Ahmed, Director of Graduate programs and Dr ABM Ramatullah, Deputy Director of AQAC were also present in the meeting. The meeting capped with exchange of souvenirs between the Vice Chancellor and Prof Dr Ismail.
