United fight against drug to continue: Asad 10 lakh campaign stickers being distributed

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Sunday said that the law enforcers would continue joint-drive to combat drug abuse, apart from keeping the anti-drug campaigns on run.
The members of law enforcing agencies will distribute 10 lakh campaign stickers titled ‘Let’s go for joint campaign fight against drug, [Chalo jai juddhe, madoker biruddhe] to build public awareness across the country.
The minister was launching a mass awareness-raising campaign against drug abuse at Zero Point of Gulistan of the capital city on Sunday afternoon.
 “The Prime Minister has declared ‘zero tolerance’ against drug. As per the Prime Minister’s direction, drives against drug are underway,” he said.
Expressing concern over the current dismal situation caused by drug abuse countrywide, the minister said: “Drug abuse must be thwarted to protect our future talent”
 “Police and RAB are conducting joint drives against drug abuse everywhere, and it will continue,’ he said further.
However, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal urged everyone to fight jointly against the drug dealers and their accomplices as they (people) did against the militants and terrorists.
