Collective efforts of law-enforcers and communities including young generation could be effective means of thwarting and eradicating all sorts of terrorism, militancy, terror attacks and drug-addiction, said speakers at an anti-terrorism and anti-militancy meeting.
They mentioned that the present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is determined to uproot all sorts of terrorism and militancy with collective efforts of all quarters especially community people, Imams and other religious leaders.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) organized the meeting at Shahmukhdum Medical College (SMC) in the city yesterday. RMP Commissioner Shafiqul Islam addressed the meeting as the chief guest with Prof Dr Hasanuzzaman, principal of SMC, in the chair.
RMP Deputy Commissioner (West) AKM Nahidul Islam, SMC Managing Director Md Muniruzzaman and RMP Assistant commissioners Ibne Mijan and Ifte Khayer Alam also spoke.
