UNB, Dhaka :Bemoaning that the country is affected with a serious disease of extremism, Gano Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain on Saturday urged the country’s conscious youths to come forward to unite people to get rid of it.”They’re very few in number who indulging in killing of innocent people getting derailed. If the country’s 16 crore people get organised against them with the spirit of the Liberation War, they’ll surely be defeated,” he said.Speaking at a views -exchange meeting of Jubo Gano Forum at its office, Dr Kamal further said, “You (youths) must visit every house to motivate people to get organised against extremism. You have to ask them whether they support attack on Muslims at eidgah or they want to put their children’s lives in danger by sitting idle under the current context of the country.” Mentioning that doing politics with religion a sick strategy, he said the country’s independence and future will be threatened if no effective step is taken to eliminate it.”Those who think of snatching our independence and suppressing us by intimidating and killing some people, they’re living in fool’s paradise as we the nation established our rights in 1952 and 1971 braving all the threats, obstacles and repressions,” he added.The veteran politician urged all to reach an understanding to face the extremism and terrorism with united efforts rising above party and personal interests.
