Union Parishad Election 11 Awami League rebel candidates expelled

Manikganj District Awami League has expelled 11 leaders and activists who participated in the union parishad election against the party nominated candidates in seven unions of Manikganj Sadar Upazila.
On Monday, Manikganj District Awami League President Advocate Golam Mohiuddin and General Secretary Abdus Salam PP confirmed the matter to the press through a letter signed by the party leaders and workers.
They are Akhtar Uddin Ahmed Raja and Nusrat Islam Nupur of Dighi Union, Md. Betila-Mitra Union. Asmat Ali and Advocate Faruk Ahmed Philip, Abdul Hamid alias Chand Daroga of Krishnapur Union, Abdul Jalil and Soyeb Ahmed Raja of Putail Union, Abdul Quader and Zafar Imam Shahzada of Bhararia Union, Mizanur Rahman Majnu of Hatipara Union and Narg of Atigram Union. The expelled leaders and activists were working in different units of Manikganj district, upazila and union level. Elections will be held in 10 Union Parishads of ManikganjSadarUpazila on November 28. Afsar Uddin Sarkar of Garpara Union and. Zakir Hossain of Jagir Union have been elected unopposed with boat symbol. The local administration has made all kinds of preparations to hold the election.
