Local administration on Tuesday locked down Jarmita union in Singair upazila following the death of a worker from cold-related complications.
Runa Laila, upazila nirbahi officer, said two workers came to the union from Chapainawabganj. Of them, Mozaffar, 46, was infected with cold-related diseases on April 1.
Later, he went back to Chapainawabganj on Saturday and died on Monday night.
Following his death, the upazila administration put the entire union under lockdown.
Earlier, it locked down Singair municipality on Sunday as a devotee of Tabligh Jamaat tested positive for coronavirus.
Besides, three other devotees also tested coronavirus positive on Monday.
