Locals at Bijpynagar Upazila formed a human chain and brought out a procession demanding uninterrupted gas supply to homes and providing new legal gas connection by disconnecting illegal connections. The programme was held in front of the office of Bakhrabad Gas Distribution Company Limited at Ghatura in Brahmanbaria on Tuesday. Among others, Riazuddin Jami, President of Brahmanbaria Press Club presided over the function as the Chief Guest. Among others, ICT Secretary of Brahmanbaria Press Club Mojibur Rahman Khan, former General Secretary Deepak Chowdhury Bappi, convener of Brahmanbaria Progressive Alliance Nazrul Islam, General Secretary of District Citizens Forum Ratan Kanti Dutta and Vice President of District Youth Women’s League Tahmina Akter Panna.
Speakers at the human chain said that although the gas of Brahmanbaria is supplied all over the country, the people of Brahmanbaria are not getting uninterrupted gas.
