In a ceremony held to celebrate the 110th year of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI), Unilever Bangladesh has been recognized for the company’s exemplary role in Corporate Social Responsibility in the country.
On the 18th of October Lee Taylor, Finance Director of Unilever Bangladesh received the award from Finance Minister, AMA Muhith.
The award body applauded UBL’s innovative CSR approach, which includes initiatives such as Project Laserbeam in Shatkhira and projects with Save the Children to tackle childhood malnutrition; the floating Lifebuoy Friendship Hospital providing healthcare to erosion prone areas of north Bangladesh and Pepsodent Dentibus providing dentalcare to the rural population.
This recognition by the MCCI reiterates the important role Unilever Bangladesh is playing to do well as a business by doing good for the society.
