Police recovered the body of an unidentified youth from Kumar river in Kathpotti area under Sadar upazila of the district on Thursday.
Being informed, a team of police from Madaripur Sadar Model thana rushed to the spot and recovered the floating body from the river at about 5 pm, said oc Ziaul Morshed.
Later, the body was sent to Madaripur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
