UNICEF team visits DIC

A team of UNICEF representative visited Drop in Center(DIC) of Jagroto Jubo Sangho(JJS) on Monday in Khulna.
Jean Gough, Regional Director of UNICEF, Edouard Beigbeder, representative of UNICEF accompanied with Kafil Uddin, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF Khulna, Jamil Hassan, Child Protection officer, UNICEF, and Md Tanvirul Islam, Education Officer, UNICEF visited the center.
They spoke to the children at the Drop in Center of JJS. Representatives wanted to know about the lifestyle of those distressed children. The children spoke to the representative. They said about the miserable living condition as most of them have to sleep in railway station and launch ghat at night.
The children at the center also spoke about their dreams and desires. After introductory part one boy played a role of a small acting which was so much realistic with their lives.
Then, the UNICEF representative shared with the girls of DIC. The girls presented a very beautiful dance. The visitors were amused to see such cultural talent of children living in street. While UNICEF representatives were visiting the Drop in Center, they met with Nigar Sultana Probation officer, CMM court, Khulna and Ms. Fahima Munni, Probation officer at district level, Khulna, who were also present there.
After spending a quality time they went for Hope Center where 8 children of JJS PMRC project receive vocational training. There the UNICEF representatives inquired about the courses, facilities and the educational background of the children. The UNICEF representatives were very pleased to see such kind of different vocational training course and appreciate.
