UNICEF Country Representative in Bangladesh Edouard Beigbeder called on Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at the latter’s university office. Chief of Social Policy, Planning and Monitoring of UNICEF Dhaka Office Carlos Acosta was present on the occasion.
During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest specially the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative programs between UNICEF and Dhaka University.
UNICEF Country Representative in Bangladesh Edouard Beigbeder expressed his willingness to work closely with Dhaka University especially with the Institute of Food and Nutrition Science, Institute of Information Technology and Institute of Education and Research.
He sought the cooperation from DU VC to nominate resource persons to UNICEF to help formulate strategy in the fields of education, food and nutrition and IIT.
DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique assured the guest of providing all possible support and cooperation in this regard. He thanked the guests for their visit to and keen interest in establishing collaboration with Dhaka University.
