Unethical practice is now a national problem. It has to be resolved collectively at national level. Ethical education in the class room and every profession are the prime necessity of modern time.
Speakers, on Saturday said these while addressing a workshop titled ‘Experience sharing of ethical education and the agenda for 220, organized by the Center for Ethics Education (CEE)’
Speakers emphasized in resolving the problem by posing it positively to the common people through the representatives of the different segments of society.
The speakers also said that the degradation is now at every nook and corner of the society. A system of punishment for dishonesty, reward for honesty needs to be introduced to prevent this degradation and elimination of moral deterioration.
Former Chairman of the Human Rights Commission and Director of the Center for Ethics Education (CEE) Dr Mizanur Rahman, former Chief Information Commissioner Prof Golam Rahman, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Mahmud Hassan, former Director of the Institute of Health Economics Prof Abdul Hamid, Vice-Chancellor of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology Prof Dr Mohammad Fazli Elahi, Secretary of Bangladesh Academic of Science Prof. Haseena Khan, representative of the North American Bangladeshi Islami Community (NABIC) Dr Rashed Nizam, Executive Director of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Dr M Ehsanur Rahman, General Secretary of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Dr Khalilur Rahman and various professionals were present in the program.
Center for Ethics Education organized the program at the seminar room of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology.
It is to be noted that the Center for Ethics Education (CEE), an entity of Dhaka Ahsania Mission and North American Bangladeshi Islami Community (NABIC), has been conducting ethical education courses since 2018 among the school, college and university level students of the country.
