Consultant of Culture and Development Programme of UNESCO Indrasen Vencatachellum on Thurday paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique at his office on the campus.
Chairman of Theatre and Performance Studies Department Sudip Chakraborty was present in the meeting, said a DU press release.
During the meeting, they stressed the need for strengthening cultural relationship among the various countries to establish peace and harmony in the world, the release added.
The UNESCO Consultant expressed his willingness to provide support and cooperation for development of professional skills and cultural heritage in Bangladesh.
The progress of academic and research activities on fine arts, crafts, music, dance and culture at Dhaka University were also discussed in the meeting.
