Speakers at a function urged the unemployed youths to receive training on different trades properly to involve themselves in income generating activities to remove their unemployment problem.
“In this context, successful training on cow rearing, cow fattening, poultry farming and dairy farm and nursery establishment could help the unemployed significantly be self reliant economically and to push forward the country towards desired progress as well”, they also said.
They came up with the comments while addressing a workshop at the conference room of Youth Training Center (YTC) near Tulshighat Bazaar under Sadar upazila in the district on Sunday noon.
Department of Youth Development (DYD) organized the workshop under the project of Creation of Employment and Self-employment Opportunities for Unemployed Youths in seven districts of North Bengal.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ehsan-e-Elahi addressed the function as the chief guest and acting project director (PD) M. Abdur Rouf Shah was present as the special guest. With deputy director of DYD M. Gias Uddin in the chair, the function was also addressed, among others, by assistant director Abdur Razzak and journalist Sarker M. Shahiduzzaman.
Speaking on the occasion, DC said it is not possible for any government to provide all the unemployed youths of the country with jobs due to different limitations including economical one.
So, he urged the youths to come forward with the mentality to receive the training on different technical and vocational trades to attain the cherished goal and to build a hunger and unemployment free society.
