The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in association with Global Compact Malaysia have launched a campaign to arrange necessary fund for providing digital support to 10,000 smallholder farmers for ensuring them better market access.
The campaign was symbolically launched on Wednesday at the United Nations General Assembly week in New York when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner participated in one of the several private sector engagements and SDGs financing events, said a UNDP release.
The campaign will raise $25,000 to test a digital innovation, which will initially support 500 and eventually to 10,000 farmers across the country.
