The Diamond Melamine Under-8 Kids Rugby League kicked-off on Thursday at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
Joint-General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Jahangir Kabir Nanok, MP, inaugurated the rugby meet by releasing the balloons as the chief guest, while Managing Director of Diamond Melamine Limited Md Mokhter Hossain was with him as the special guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Federation (BRF) Mousum Ali, Joint-General Secretary of BRF Sayeed Ahmed and Chairman of the Tournament Committee Moshiur Rahman Sumon were present at the time.
In the day’s matches, Dhaka Mariners Youngs Club blanked Agrabad Naujawan Club of Chattogram by 30-0 points, Farashganj Sporting Club drubbed Sylhet Hill Rugby Club by 30-0 points, Azad Sporting Club defeated Victoria Sporting Club by 10-0 points, Farashganj Sporting Club thrashed Agrabad Naujawan Club of Chittagong by 20-0 points, Victoria Sporting Club overcame Sylhet Hill Rugby Club by 15-0 points, Dhaka Mariner Youngs Club overpowered Azad Sporting Club by 55-5 points..
