Under-23 booters off to South Korea

A 20-member squad of Bangladesh Under-23 football team, led by midfielder Mamunul Islam Mamun, left here for South Korea this evening to take part in the 17th South Asian Games scheduled to be held from September 19 in Incheon, South Korea.
Bangladesh pitted in a tough group B along with Afghanistan, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan. Bangladesh will play their opening match against SAFF champions Afghanistan on October 15 at the Munhak Stadium, the second match against strong Uzbekistan team on September 18 at the Ansan Wa-Stadium and the third and last group match against Hong Kong on September 22 at the Hwaseong Sports Complex.

Shahidul Alam, Raihan Hasan, Keshto Kumar Bosh, Yasin Khan, Atiqqur Rahman Meshu, Sohel Rana, Mamunul Islam Mamun (captain), Aminur Rahman Sajib, Hemonto Vincent Biswas, Owahed Ahmed, Russel Mahmud, Tapu Borman, Tutul Hossain, Yamin Ahmed, M Atiqur Rahman, ASYousuf Sifat, Omar Faruk Babu, M Toklis Ahmed, Jewel Rana and Jamal Bhuiyan.
