Unconscious woman packed in gunny bag recovered

An unconscious, unidentified and completely naked woman (about 40), packed in a gunny bag was recovered from Jongrar Khal area under Chandpai forest range in the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest in Bagerhat district by the members of the coastguards of the Western Zone deployed Mongla with the help of some fishermen on Monday in the evening, according to a delayed report received here. After some time she regained her lost sense.
It is reported that on Monday at noon fisherman Faruk Faraji of village Golbunia under Mongla Upazila in Bagerhat district and some other fishermen went to Jongrar Khal (canal) near the river Pashur in the forest under Chandpai range to catch fish and found a gunny bag contained something near the forest. In the evening when they were returning home after catching fish they found the gunny bag is still laying there. Then they went to it and realized the existence of a human being in it. Then they went to Joymoni area where they informed some locals and the members of the coastguards of the matter and backed to the place of occurrence. Later the coastguards recovered the man and admitter her to Mongla Upazila Health Complex at night. It was confirmed by Lt. Mahmud, Operation Officer of Mongla Coastguards.
After the treatment in the Hospital she was able to tell her name only. Dr. Jibites Biswas, Upazila Health Officer, Mongla disclosed, the recovered woman is now out of danger, but she cannot remember nothing excepting her own name ‘Rashida.’ So, she should be shifted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for her better treatment and accordingly she was admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital at the same night. According to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital source, she is now improving gradually there.
