UNB, Dhaka :United Nations Under Secretary General for Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO) Hervé Ladsous will arrive in the capital on July 22 on a three-day visit, said an official here on Thursday.During his stay, Ladsous will meet President Abdul Hamid, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam and other officials concerned.However, his meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is yet to be finalized as the Prime Minister will go to London on July 21.The UN Under Secretary General will also visit the Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation (BIPSOT) in Gazipur and will deliver a lecture on the present and future of the UN peacekeeping operations.Ladsous took over charge from the former Under-Secretary-General Alain Le Roy on October 3, 2011.He has extensive experience in the diplomatic field and is recognized by his peers in all parts of the world for his capacity to build consensus.
