Jahangirnagar University Model United Nations Association (JUMUNA) on Sunday celebrated its 3rd anniversary amid festive mood. Marking the day, it organized a seminar titled ‘Founders’ Meet Up’ at the seminar room of Zahir Raihan auditorium with the participation of all pioneers of Bangladeshi Model United Nation.
Presided over by JUMUNA president Md Sukranul Haque Mahir, founder President of JUMUNA Riyajul Karim shared his own experience and struggle during the founding years at the function.
Sunny Sanwar, Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Mozammel Haque, Policy and Coordination Specialist, Democratic Governance Portfolio of UNDP and Prof Dr Md Abdullah Hel Kafi of Department of International Relations, JU addressed the function, among others.
After the inaugural session, a workshop on international affairs was held while Sajib Hasan, a prominent MUN workshop trainer, Sunny Sanwar and Mozammel Haque conducted the training session. Later, a competition on critical thinking ability was held at the function.
About 200 students from different department and institutions were took part in the program.
Besides, Each and every participant has received certificates from JUMUNA for attending the session.
Mentionable, JUMUNA shares the experiences of different international affairs with its members formulated by Model United nations.
