Anti-Terrorism and Anti-Militancy Ulama Parishad has urged the government to launch motivational programme with Islamic scholars to stop militancy in the country, said a press release.
Moulana Abdul Latif Chowdhury, convener of the organization, said it in a statement on Saturday.
He said, “Awareness among the people is also necessary to stop such terrorist activities.”
He said, if the government takes initiative, the Muslim scholars in a body will support the programme.
Qawmi Madrasah Teachers’ Federation proposed forming of a 10-member motivation committee involving Ulamas in each upazila in order to uproot terrorism and militancy from the country.
