The Graduate Program of the School of Business, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a workshop titled ‘The Art of Effective E-mailing’ on last Friday at its own campus in Dhanmondi of the capital.
The one-hour interactive workshop was conducted by Arzoo Ismail, full-time lecturer, ULAB School of Business. At the beginning of the session, the participants were asked to compose e-mails on given situations.
Ismail then elaborated the importance of communications and the challenges with communications with e-mails and how to overcome those limitations.
She shared her experiences for composing effective e-mails and showed eight common ways in which e-mails can go wrong.
After showing how to format good e-mails, she presented examples of real life e-mails where the participants pointed out the problem areas and suggested improvements. A total of 65 graduate students participated in the workshop.
