Tower Hamlets Council Speaker, United Kingdom ( UK) Sabina Akhtar made a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Wednesday at the latter’s office on the campus.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes among University of Dhaka and various higher educational institutions in UK, a DU press release said.
Akhtaruzzaman thanked the guest for her visit to DU and keen interest in its academic and research activities, the release added.
President and CEO of TCBL Group M S Shekil Chowdhury was present on this occasion.
