UNB, Savar :
The United Kingdom wants to see that everybody, including persons with disabilities in Bangladesh, gets the equal opportunity to transform their lives as it wants to help Bangladesh implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through close partnership.
“We want to do it by working in a very close partnership with Bangladesh, very close and old friends and partners making sure that no one gets left behind,” UK International Development Minister Baroness Verma told UNB after visiting the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP) here.
She said, they are really pleased that disability has
now been included in the goals (SDGs). Responding to another question, the UK Minister said, “We need to eradicate extreme poverty, we need to make sure that everybody in society has access to opportunity to transform their lives.”
