UIU graduates urged to work for common people

The 3rd Convocation of United International University (UIU) was held on Tuesday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre. The Education Minister, Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, presided over the ceremony. While Prof. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees and Founder Vice-Chancellor, East West University, was present as convocation speaker. Welcome address was delivered by Faridur Rahman Khan, Vice Chairman, Board of Trustees, United International University, Professor Dr. M. Rezwan Khan, Vice-Chancellor of United International University also addressed in the ceremony.
Education Minister, Nurul Islam Nahid, MP, in his speech opined that the Private Universities must take measures to remove all barriers to imparting quality higher education in their own interest. More sincere endeavors of the private universities are required to attain the desired goal. Congratulating the graduates, the Education Minister urged them to work for the interest of the common people.  
Total 1452 students from different disciplines were conferred undergraduate and graduate degrees while five meritorious students received Gold Medals for their excellent results.
Convocation Speaker Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, congratulated the graduates who received their degrees in the 3rd Convocation of this university on their achievement and wished them every success in the new world they are entering.
