The NID Wing said that every citizen of the country will use a number from birth to death, which is called UID or Unique ID. When a person registers for birth registration or national identity card registration, he / she will be issued a UID. Unique ID numbers will be linked to different service providers. The birth registration authority will provide this 10 digit UID immediately after the birth of a child. The National Identity Card Registration System and the Birth Registration System for UIDs will be linked to this system of two National Identity Cards.
A 10-digit UID number has already been created for those above 18 years of age, i.e. those who have already registered. For those below 18 years of age, i.e. not yet a voter, UID will be done as follows.
For persons who have both parents with NID number, the name, date of birth and parental NID number and date of birth should be sent to the EC server. The EC server will verify the parent’s NID number and automatically send the UID number to that person.
In case of persons who have NID number of father or mother, the name, date of birth and NID number and date of birth of father or mother should be sent to the NID server of EC. The EC server will verify the NID number of the father or mother and send the UID to the concerned institution for that person.
Those whose parents do not have an NID number should send the name, date of birth or sibling or appropriate parent’s NID number and date of birth to the EC server and the EC server will send the UID for that person after verifying the NID number.
For those who are above 18 years of age, i.e. those who have already been included in the voter list, the UID of the person will be given after verifying the correctness of the NID number, date of birth and fingerprint of the person. Or if a person’s NID number, date of birth, father’s name and mother’s name are sent in the EC server, that person will be given UID. Currently laminating card and smart card have 10 number of NIDT person’s UID card.
