The 143th Full Commission Meeting of UGC was recently held. Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of UGC, presided over the meeting. Sohrab Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Education, Abdul Mannan, Member, Socio-Economic Infrastructure, Planning Commission, UGC Members – Prof Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Prof Dr Dil Afroza Begum, Prof Dr Md. Akhtar Hossain, Prof Dr M Shah Nowaz Ali, Prof Dr Md. Ali Akbar, Vice-Chancellor, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Prof Dr Mohammad Alauddin, Vice-Chancellor, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology, Prof Dr Selina Perveen, Department of Zoology, Rajshahi University, Prof Dr M Wahiduzzaman, Vice-Chancellor, Noakhali University of Science and Technology, UGC Secretary Dr Md. Khaled attended the meeting.
Vital decision was taken on the activities of cross border higher education in this meeting. Commission also approved pension of recently retired UGC officials.
