The 143rd Full-Commission meeting of UGC was held at the University Grants Commission (UGC) auditorium in the city on Tuesday.Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of UGC, presided over the meeting while Secretary for Ministry of Education Sohrab Hossain, Member of Socio-Economic Infrastructure of Planning Commission Abdul Mannan, UGC members Prof Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Prof Dil Afroza Begum, Prof M Akhtar Hossain, Prof M Shah Nowaz Ali and Prof M Ali Akbar were present.
The meeting took important decisions on the activities of cross border higher education and approved pension facilities of recently retired UGC officials.
