An ‘Awareness Workshop on Digital Resources’ organized by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh will be held today at Lakeshore Hotel, Gulshan-2 in the city.
UGC Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan will attend the programme as the chief guest while UGC Member Dr Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah and Senior Operations Officer, World Bank Dr Md. Mokhlesur Rahman will be present as the special guests on the occasion.
UGC Member Prof Dr Md. Akhtar Hossain will preside over the function. Vice-Chancellors and Librarians of member universities of UGC Digital Library will participate in the workshop.
Forty-three member universities of UDL have been accessing 17500+ high scholarly electronic resources of seven e-publishers at substantially lower rates of subscription as UDL has been offering subsidy on the subscription fee from the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP).
Awareness and use of digital resources among the universities is expected to be expanded and expedited through this workshop.
