UGC keen to set up stronger ties with UK varsities

University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan on Wednesday urged the British Government to increase the number of scholarships and fellowships for Bangladeshi students in UK universities.
“UGC is also keenly interested in establishing stronger ties with the UK universities for internationalization of higher education,” he said.
UGC Chairman made the appeal when Deputy British High Commissioner in Dhaka Mark Clayton paid a courtesy call on UGC chairman at his office.

also attended.
They also discussed various aspects of higher education including collaborative research
and exchange of students.
