The University Grant Commission (UGC) have suggested streamlining the curriculum of country’s higher education to face the challenges of fourth industrial revolution and continue pace of country’s economic growth.
The suggestion came from a daylong workshop titled ‘Implementation of Outcome based Education’, organised by UGC’s Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance (SPQA) department on Wednesday, said a press release.
“Skilled and qualified human resources are needed to sustain the trend of country’s economic growth. If the curriculum can be formulated as per the necessity, quality changes will come to the education sector,” said UGC Member Abu Taher addressing the workshop.
UGC Professor Abu Taher presided over the program while Professor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (MSMRSTU) Dr Md Mozahar Ali attended as resource person.
