Director (finance and accounts division) of University Grants Commission (UGC) Md Mizanur Rahman passed away at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Sunday morning. He was 54.
The UGC Director was suffering from asthma, jaundice and kidney related diseases for long.
He left behind wife, a son, a daughter and a host of well-wishers to mourn his death.
Mizanur was buried at his village home in Khulna.
UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan and all employees expressed deep shock at the death of Mizanur Rahman and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
They conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In a condolence message, Professor Mannan recalled Mizanur Rahman’s contributions to the commission and said he was a diligent officer and had performed his duties at the Finance and Accounts Division of the UGC with sincerity and devotion.
