The University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) in its 144th Full Commission meeting with the its Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan in the Chair decided to introduce ‘History of Emergence of Bangladesh’ and ‘Bangla Language Course’ (Not as an alternative to Bangladesh Studies) in all the universities of the country. The universities where foreign students are studying could introduce a foreign language course, depending on their capability as an alternative. All the universities have been urged to take measures for introducing these courses.
