University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan on Sunday visited different projects undertaken by Jahangirnagar University (JU) under World Bank and Bangladesh Research and Education Network (BdREN).
After visiting the projects, Professor Mannan also made a courtesy call on JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam at the latter’s office on the campus, a JU release said.
During the meeting, they discussed about the academic and research activities of the university.
Professor Farzana Islam welcomed and thanked Professor Mannan for monitoring the ongoing projects of the university.
JU Pro-VC Professor Dr Abul Hossain, Treasurer Professor Dr Abul Khair, Registrar Abu Bakr Siddique and officials of Education Ministry.
