Prof Abdul Mannan, Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), left here for Philippines on Wednesday to attend the EWC/EWCA International Conference on “Bridging Diverse Cultures towards an Inclusive Asia Pacific Community”.
The East-West Center (EWC), the East-West Center Association (EWCA) and the EWCA Manila Chapter are jointly hosting the conference which will be held from January 15 to 17 in Manila.
The three-day conference aims at providing an interactive venue that will broaden relations and understanding among EWC alumni throughout Asia, the Pacific and the United States on a wide-range of key regional topics amidst the challenges of regional and global integration.
The chairman is expected to return home on January 18.
