University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Abdul Mannan on Friday left the capital for India to join the first convocation of South Asian University.
Professor Dr Mannan, who also member of finance committee of the University.
South Asian University (SAU) is an international university established by the governments of the eight member country of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are the existing members of the organization, the release added.
SAU started its activities from the year 2010. The university currently functions from the Indian capital New Delhi.
