UGC Chair seeks local help for RMSTU’s permanent campus

Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), Bangladesh Prof. Abdul Mannan sought local people’s help in establishing a permanent campus for Rangamati Science and Technology University (RMSTU).
He came up with the urge while inaugurating a workshop after signing an agreement between UGC and RMSTU at a programme arranged at Rangamati Parjatan Holiday Complex, reports UNB.
Mentioning that 64 acres land have been acquired for the project, he said the permanent campus will be built under a master plan of Tk 227crore this year. Already digital survey has been completed, said the UGC chairman. He said that the university has been established to give higher education facilities to the hill tracts residents.
Vice Chancellor of RMSTU, Dr Pradanendu Bikas Chakma chaired the programme.
