Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi, a cultural organisation, will stage the “South Asian Cultural Convention on Anti Imperialism and Communalism” from February 19 to 21 on the premises of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor will join it as guest at the inaugural ceremony on February 19 at 3pm while Comrade Jasim Uddin Mandal, Kamakhya Roy Chowdhury and Professor Jatin Sarker will inaugurate it, a release said.
Progressive cultural personalities from home and abroad including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Afghanistan and Japan will take part in the convention. Some 12 organisations from India will attend the convention.
Noted singers and cultural personalities of Indian State of West Bengal including Shubhendu Maity, Shuva Prashad Nandi Majumder and Ratan Basu Majumder and Malini Bhattacharya will join the convention.
