Department of Law & Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific organized a prestigious virtual research seminar series on the theme of “Legal framework for Protecting Domestic Violence Against Women in Bangladesh: A Critical Analysis”
Nazia Wahab has delivered the paper, along with her comprehensive analysis of the subject matter. In her discussion, she critically examines all of the phrases that are associated with domestic violence against women in the country of Bangladesh. She noted that we have laws, but that some of them do not provide the police with any authority to carry out their duties.
Prof. Dr Mizanur Rahman, Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka, was the main panelist for the symposium. He delivered his insightful observations on the piece of paper. He said that the DVAW is a vexing problem for Bangladeshi citizens. Again, he mentioned that the majority of women are victims of sexual, psychological, or physical violence. Adopting legislation and identifying loopholes would not be enough to address the issues at hand; instead, it is necessary to increase the beauty of a human rights-based education system from the ground up, and the law should be put into effect,’ mentioned Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman.
