The English Department of University of Asia Pacific (UAP) has arranged a grand prize giving ceremony of extra-curricular activities competition at the university campus on Sunday.
UAP VC Prof Jamilur Reza Choudhury was the chief guest of the program while its Pro VC Prof MR Kabir was present as special guest. Prof SM Amanullah, Head of the Department presided over the function.
Prof Choudhury said top universities of the world like Harvard University and Swarthmore College, USA, of the world put emphasis on the extracurricular activities for its students.
The competition took place in different segments including academic excellence, essay competition, film appreciation competition, spelling competition and reading competition.
A total of 25 students from five different segments have been awarded.
