Dr Saeed Bin Hajar, Ambassador of United Arab Emirates in Bangladesh, yesterday called on Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at his office here.
During the meeting, they agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate the education sector in Bangladesh, said a press release. The Minister informed the UAE envoy about the different initiatives undertaken by the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in education sector particularly in advancing vocational education. The minister thanked Dr Saeed for giving employment opportunity for Bangladeshi people in UAE, the release added. The envoy appreciated the progress in education sector of Bangladesh and appraised the Bangladeshi workers who is being employed in his country.
Education Secretary Md Sohrab Hossain was present at the meeting, among others, the release said.
