Irish rock band U2 will take to the stage at the coveted Academy Awards here next month.
The rock band will perform its track Ordinary Love, which is nominated for best original song at the ceremony to be held at the Dolby Theatre March 2, reports contactmusic.com.
The event’s producers, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, confirmed the news Wednesday and said it will be the first time that the band will perform the song, which was written especially for the ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’ soundtrack, live.
The group consists of members Bono, Larry Mullen, Adam Clayton and The Edge. -Agency
